This page explains how the Tapeout website uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What we use

We use only a small number of strictly-necessary cookies required to run the site — you cannot opt out of these without breaking core functionality:

• Session cookie (tapeout_session) — a signed, HttpOnly cookie that keeps you logged in after you sign in. It stores only a reference to your account, is SameSite=Lax, and expires after a period of inactivity.
• Sign-in cookie (tapeout_oauth_nonce) — a short-lived cookie used during the sign-in flow to protect it against cross-site request forgery. It is deleted once sign-in completes.

2. What we do NOT use

We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing cookies. Because our only cookies are strictly necessary, no cookie-consent banner is required for them.

3. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly-necessary cookies above, you will not be able to sign in or use your account.

4. Changes

If we add any non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this page and request consent where required.
